『PEDAL TOKYO』,a show touring bicycle-related landmarks, also begins broadcasting!
In an effort to make eco-friendly and healthy bicycles even more accessible, Tokyo Metropolitan Government is hosting a variety of cycling events as part of the “GRAND CYCLE TOKYO” project.
We are committed to bringing the joy of cycling to Tokyo residents through various upcoming projects.
1 Announcement of ‘THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA 2027’
Since the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games cycling road race was held in the Tama region, Tokyo Metropolitan Government is holding the cycling road race “THE ROAD RACE TOKYO” to pass on that legacy to the future. We are pleased to announce the event details, as the third edition of “THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA 2027.”

(2)Start and Finish Venue
- Men’s Elite Start venue: Akirudai Park, Finish venue: Ome City
- Women’s Elite Start and Finish Venue: Ome City
* Men’s Elite and Women’s Elite course and programs (finish venue and events along the course) will be announced separately as soon as they are decided.
*Planned to set a lap course within Ome City.

*Previous Men’s Elite Road Race was held as the UCI-approved international cycling road race.
2 GRAND CYCLE TOKYO Ambassadors
To effectively promote GRAND CYCLE TOKYO and convey the appeal of cycling to a wide audience, Ami Inamura and So Takei are back as our ambassadors to light up the event again this year.

3 Announcement Regarding the Broadcast of the “Rainbow Bridge Ride” Promotional Program
We are pleased to announce that a new promotional TV program will premiere from Sunday, July 5th. The show will feature cyclists speeding through areas and landmarks with deep connections to cycling, including the iconic Rainbow Bridge—the highlight of the “Rainbow Bridge Ride” bicycle fun ride event —and Umi-no-mori Park (Sea Forest Park).
