AMBASSADOR

We are pleased to announce that Ami Inamura and So Takei have been appointed as GRAND CYCLE TOKYO 2025 Ambassadors. They will convey the charm of bicycles and Tokyo to the world and to everyone.
This year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the GRAND CYCLE TOKYO Executive Committee have entered into a partnership agreement with Bike New York, the largest cycling event in the Northern Hemisphere held annually in New York City, USA.
We will collaborate to foster mutual development of the events and cultivate friendly relations between the two parties.
Bike New York CEO Kenneth Podziba and COO Andrew Gould also participated in this year’s Rainbow Ride.
In September 2024, The Tokyo Metropolitan Government was awarded the “UCI BIKE CITY” label by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The UCI BIKE CITY label is for cities and regions that are pioneering cycling initiatives, and Tokyo is the first city in the East Asia region to receive it. In cooperation with the UCI and other members of the UCI Bike City and Region network, we will further promote sports projects that utilize bicycles and advance the creation of an environment where all people can enjoy cycling safely and comfortably.
