About the Course

Participation fee

This table shows the distance, number of participants, and participation fee for each course. Participation fees are divided into three categories: “Adult,” “Elementary School 3rd Grade to High School,” and “VIP.”

How to apply

Duplicate applications are not allowed.
Please note that if you submit duplicate applications under multiple accounts, your application will be cancelled at the discretion of the Secretariat.
If there is an incomplete or incorrect entry, please cancel your provisional application from My Page and re-apply. (This can only be done during the application period.)

Group Entry for club activities

◆Group participation in the long course is open to clubs and clubs of elementary, junior high, and high school students who are active in year-round cycling activities at schools located in Tokyo (first 100 applicants).
◆Applications must be made on a school basis, with the head of department or advisory teacher as the representative, regardless of whether or not he/she participates in the event.
◆Please submit a list of participants and the results of their activities in 2024 at the time of application.
◆Please note that elementary school students participating in the group competition must be accompanied by an instructor (over 18 years of age) for every five elementary school students.

Rainbow Bridge Ride Finish Medal

This will be presented to participants who finish riding Rainbow Bridge Ride.
The front features the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Gate Bridge,
while the back features this year‘s course map and the official logo of “UCI BIKE CITY label” certified by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
“A special edition medal with a 60mm diameter, combining a sense of weight and premium quality.”

About Age Groups

Minors (under 18 years old) participants

Minors (under 18 years old) participants require the consent of a parent or guardian.

Elementary school student participants

One parent/guardian (over 18 years old) must join each participant who is in the third grade of elementary school or above.

Pre-school children participant

Both parents/guardian and pre-school children who are considered being able to participate safely and without strain may participate in the event with only one pre-school child in a specific vehicle. Helmets and seatbelts must be worn when riding. Specific vehicles: Electrically assisted bicycle with infant seat attachment or railer rides.

Eligible:
Must be 3rd grade or above in elementary school and over 145cm in height
Please select “rental cycle” as an option at the time of entry.
VIP may also request for a rental cycle.
*Please note that it is not possible to change from bringing your own bicycle to rental cycle.

Please be sure to read the “Terms and Conditions of Participation” below.

Use of on-board cameras

車載カメラの取り付け規定:車載カメラ本体を含めて全長30㎝以内であればライド参加・撮影可能
If an on-board camera is attached to the bicycle, the total length of the camera, including on-board camera and accessories, must not exceed 30 cm.
Please note that you will not be able to participate in Rainbow Bridge Ride 2025 if the total length of your bicycle is longer than 30cm.
All vehicles must be within 30 cm in length, including on-board camera and accessories.
*The camera will be set up in reference to the Road Traffic Law for safety measures.
*Cameras must be fixed to the bicycle or helmet, etc.

Please prepare

If you are bringing your own bicycle, please be sure to prepare the following four items before participating.
  • Helmets (No leather Kasks and Soft-Tech Types)
    * Helmets from the “Kask” helmet brand may be used.
    * Helmets must have a chinstrap and be able to hold the head in place.
  • Front lights
  • Tail light or reflector
  • Bell

RINTORE

In order to ride safely, please study the Tokyo Metropolitan Bicycle Safety Learning App “Rintore” in advance.  If you pass the test on the app, you will receive an identification.
Those who pass will get the 100 Tokyo point and receive novelty goods on the day of the Event.
”Rintore” can be downloaded from the following stores Only Android and iOS versions are supported.
